Our visit rates are published here so you can work out what care would realistically cost before you speak to anyone. No enquiry required to see a price.
Most families researching care are doing it quietly, often late at night, trying to work out whether this is even affordable before involving anyone else. Publishing our rates means you can do that maths on your own terms.

Book a free assessmentThe shortest visit we offer on its own is 30 minutes. There is also a 15-minute call at £15, but only as an addition for a second person in the same home while a carer is already there — a husband and wife, for example. It is not something we can book as a visit on its own, and we would rather say so here than have you plan around it.
What the rate represents. Each price is for one care call of that length. What you pay in a week depends on how many visits you have and how long each one needs to be — which is exactly what the free care assessment is for.
These rates apply everywhere we work: home care in Burton upon Trent, home care in Swadlincote and home care in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

A carer lives in the home and supports daily life as set out in the agreed care package.
What a live-in package involves differs enormously between households — how much support is needed, and whether a second carer is required to cover the daily rest period.

The price depends on how many hours the cover runs for and whether it is a waking night or a sleeping night. On a waking night the carer remains awake throughout. On a sleeping night the carer is permitted to sleep but can be woken to help when necessary, and a sleeping night includes up to three occasions of being woken; if assistance is required more than three times, it is treated as a waking night and additional charges apply.

Home care in England is paid for in one of three broad ways: privately by the person or their family, with a contribution from the local authority following a needs and financial assessment, or through NHS funding in specific circumstances. Some people also receive benefits that help towards the cost of care.
We deliberately do not publish eligibility thresholds, capital limits or benefit amounts. Those figures change, they differ by circumstance, and getting them wrong could cost a family real money. Your local authority’s adult social care team and independent advice organisations are the right sources. Tell us what you have been advised and we will work with it — we just will not invent it.
Per visit. Each rate relates to the visit length shown: £20 for 30 minutes, £27 for 45 minutes and £31.50 for one hour. If you have two visits a day, you pay for two visits.
No. There is a £0 setup fee. The care assessment is also free, so nothing is charged before care actually begins.
During your first 7 days you can cancel straight away — there is no notice to serve and nothing to negotiate. You pay only for the care that has already been delivered. After those first 7 days, the normal 2-week notice period set out in your care agreement applies.

The rates published on this page are the rates we have approved for publication. If any variation were ever to apply to a particular arrangement, it would be explained to you in writing before care began — never applied as a surprise.
